Master data integration

Whats is it used for​

To normalise data with UXM towards Master data sources, in order to ensure that locations, applications and systems all have a consolidated naming.

 

UXM will need a structured Master data source (MDM) from which to consolidate data to and from.

Data sources​

  • SQL via Splunk DB Connect
  • REST API to ServiceNow, Cherwell containing master data
  • .CSV files that serve as Master data that can be imported into UXM

Mapping to UXM applications​

Lookup can be done based on application name, process name or other vendor based data entries, from where UXM will retrieve Master data metrics and update UXM metrics accordingly.

 

Mapping to Locations​

Lookup can be done for Location data, based on AD Site and Location, OU information, or IP addresses ranges.
